It’s now less than a month until the 2010 Gramophone Awards are announced, and we are delighted to reveal the short list.

From Early Music to Contemporary, our panel of critics have selected the leading three discs in each of the 16 categories - 48 recordings in total. To discover which discs have made it, visit the Gramophone Awards section, where you can also read reviews of every short-listed recording.

The winners – as well as the recipients of our Special Awards, including Artist of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Special Achievement, Editor's Choice and Young Artist of the Year – will be unveiled on October 1 at a ceremony in London – and of course here, on our website.
